Jim Hill has a worse track record for predictions coming true than Jean Dixon, the late self-proclaimed psychic from The National Enquirer. Jim Hill is all about Jim Hill's ego and little more. He's been occasionally right, but a broken watch is also right twice a day. He has yet to match that level of accuracy. Anyone would do themselves a favor and skip anything that gasbag slaps his byline onto.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2228174552203445896.post-57635349436072807392011-10-09T12:25:07.971-04:002011-10-09T12:25:07.971-04:00Anything that contains some derivation of the phra...Anything that contains some derivation of the phrase "per Jim Hill" should be taken with many grains of salt. It's just the way our society is set up. People get a week off, or maybe two or even three weeks off, but they tend to break those into equal intervals. They don't take 9 or 11 days now, then 3 or 5 later. It's just good for planning to keep the vacations spanning one week periods.

But perhaps the goal IS to keep people on Disney property the entire time. If you've gone to WDW once a year, or once every two years, perhaps you're more inclined to go elsewhere, even if you're staying on Disney property. After all you've seen what Disney has to offer. Nothing new.

Fantasyland will give people a reason to stay on property for more of their vacation. So will Pandora. So would a fifth gate. I don't pretend to know what their thinking; I'm just looking at it from a DVC owning vacationer. Sorry for the long comment. As far as the economics, you're dead on...Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12409785011989904117noreply@blogger.com
