The next time you are there please take note of how small the old exit doors are from the main Seabase area. removing the old hydrolators was the only way to get the 16 feet of clear width required by the building department to safely exit the public. It was also found that Turtle Talk was popular enough to need its own entrance to the pavilion. The glass doors allow families to enter the pavilion, bypassing the ride. Please note the signage in front of the pavilion which notes that entry to the seabase is available to the left side of the pavilion.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2228174552203445896.post-80440032040722515042009-11-03T19:53:02.196-05:002009-11-03T19:53:02.196-05:00Whaa? But they did little to add to the illusion, even for young children.

Yes, I miss the old Living Seas as well (despite never having visited the Seas w/Nemo), but crowding a bunch of sweaty guests together for the sake of "show" was pretty dumb.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2228174552203445896.post-85399272130305107842009-11-02T13:53:48.805-05:002009-11-02T13:53:48.805-05:00I must admit that we haven't spent hardly any ...I must admit that we haven't spent hardly any time looking at the exhibits in the Seas pavilion. Might be different next time we go since my boys are getting a little older and are interested in science now. But aside from being cool (temp-wise) and familiar, the ride is pretty lame for the money they probably spent on it. I'm not quite sure how the exhibits differ from what's at my local aquarium. Thanks for the interesting post, as usual...Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12409785011989904117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2228174552203445896.post-47491532566856022622009-11-02T13:02:41.752-05:002009-11-02T13:02:41.752-05:00Huzzah and well said. The ride is a terribly wasted opportunity, when it would have been so simple to use the existing characters with just a different storyline. It was all set up right there - why not Nemo taking Mr. Ray and his class back through his adventures, and learning about all the different creatures and things? But instead we get NEMOOOOOOO... NEEEEEMMOOOOOOO...

And yeah, the exit without any theming is silly.Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02465912785343019825noreply@blogger.com
