I hope Disney is careful about maintaining the berms, not letting us see too much, maintaing the anticipation. As for the arches, there's something to just knowing you're on Disney property. From the arch forward, everything does seem to be "on stage" to me and I appreciate that it's interesting and pleasing to the eye.Pattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04690430457861549113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2228174552203445896.post-35197285365230298622012-01-24T14:28:28.502-05:002012-01-24T14:28:28.502-05:00Estelle, I agree with you that the entrance is too...Estelle, I agree with you that the entrance is too cartoony. And that's not my adult mind working - I always thought that, even during my first visit when I was nine. I mean Mickey is the maestro but Disney World as a whole is so much wider in concept than a cutout of Mickey and Minnie ... or at least it used to be.Billnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2228174552203445896.post-70420668518040058522012-01-24T11:59:46.519-05:002012-01-24T11:59:46.519-05:00Hey David! I am sometimes (I'm sure some people would be shocked by this) disappointed that the entrace is so cartoony. This is more of a recent realization. And then I feel guilty like HOW CAN I EVEN SAY THAT? Because that's the sort of person I am. haha. I can't say I would be sad or outraged if they even changed it... which again is weird for me because it's so nostalgia driven, I guess.

Hope all is well!Estelle @ This Happy Place Bloghttp://www.thishappyplaceblog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2228174552203445896.post-69076817520142583022012-01-21T21:34:20.536-05:002012-01-21T21:34:20.536-05:00The new jazzed up entrances were added in 1996 for...The new jazzed up entrances were added in 1996 for the 25th.
